In Science this week we did research about how some animals use sound. Some of the important words we learned through this are: echolocation, infrasound/infrasonic, and ultrasound/ultrasonic. A.M.A. what animals use echolocation.

This week with our inquiry we made stories from different pictures. First we got a piece of a picture and we tried to figure out what was going on in the picture using the 5 Ws. Then we had to find the other students who had the rest of the pieces of our first picture, and we wrote down what we thought the story was now that we had more information. For the last step we made new groups with mismatched pictures and we had to create a new story that used all four pictures together. A.M.A. what pictures we had, and what story we made with them.

There was homework earlier this week after we started talking about Remembrance Day. Students need to write one statement describing how war has touched their family. 

Don't forget that the family artifact/interview homework and the family tree are due Monday.  We also need paint cans or coffee cans for each student. 

Next week is our Alien In-line Skating residency. Bring a helmet and safety equipment if you have it. If you are interested in the Family Skate Night, forms are due Monday. Here is the grade 3/4 in-line skating schedule:
